    About the Branch

By interpreting governmental law, the Supreme Court ensures the highest standard of integrity is upheld by the officers of Student Government.

The judicial branch is comprised of the Supreme Court. Associate justices of the court are selected by the president and confirmed to lifetime terms by the Student Senate. Each term, the court elects a chief justice, alongside a pro tempore to serve as second-in-command of the court. The chief justice guides the direction of the supreme court, leading technical trainings and convening the court when necessary. When disputes arise regarding Student Government's Constitution, Bylaws, or Rules, the court carefully evaluates the facts, intreviews the parties involved, and renders a final verdict. Together, justices interpret documents, oversee investigations into alledged misconduct, and may remove Student Government's officers.
