What is the Parking Ticket Relief Program?
Every year countless Iowa State students receive unexpected parking tickets on campus. It happens to the best of us. These fines can be difficult to budget for, and if left unpaid they prevent you from registering for your classes and finals. Student Government established the Parking Ticket Relief Program as a practical alternative to paying these fines out-of-pocket.
How does it work?
Each student is eligible to have one ISU PD-issued parking ticket waived per academic year, up to a maximum value of $60. To do this, program participants volunteer at the SHOP food pantry. It’s an easy way to clear up unexpected parking fines without leaving campus. Plus, you’ll be supporting students in need and ensuring that your unpaid ticket doesn't hold you back from registering for classes or finals. When the Parking Ticket Relief Fund has been exhausted, the registration form above will close until additional funding has been allocated.
How to participate
1. Register for the program using the "Apply Now" button at the top of this page
2. We'll email you when shift(s) become available
3. If you accept your shift(s) within 72 hours, your ticket will be temporarily frozen
4. Once you complete your shift(s), your ticket will be permanently waived
