Who we are
We are the Public Relations Committee, a team of directors, senators and at-large members dedicated to representing Student Government across campus. Our members handle branding, outreach, and recruitment, ensuring that the student body stays informed about Student Government’s initiatives. By overseeing social media, managing our website, and engaging in personal interactions, we serve as the crucial link between Student Government and the student body.
What we do
Our committee hosts outreach initiatives like tabling events and campus-wide campaigns to connect with students and raise awareness about Student Government. We collaborate with teams such as the Outreach Subcommittee to recruit members and foster an inclusive community, while the Information Technology Subcommittee maintains our user-friendly website. Through creative marketing strategies, social media management, and in-person engagements, we keep students in the loop and encourage them to get involved
Current Projects
Throughout the year, we organize, support, and attend events like Destination Iowa State, ClubFest, and the Student Government Expo, partnering with the Events Committee to make these occasions successful. We strive to ensure students leave each event knowing more about Student Government and the resources available to them. Our subcommittees continuously update the website, create promotional content, and execute effective campaigns that strengthen the bond between Student Government and the campus community.
