The Public Relations Committee

Your voice, our mission.

From overseeing Student Government's digital footprint to launching outreach initiatives, the Public Relations Committee is Student Government's link to the student body.

The Public Relations Committee is comprised of senators and at-large members who oversee the official branding and outreach of Student Government. Not only does this committee manage Student Government's social media platforms and website, but it also hosts numerous outreach events and tabling opportunities. Members work to ensure students leave events like Destination Iowa State, ClubFest, and the Student Government Expo — hosted in collaboration with the Events Committee — with a positive impression of Student Government. Moreover, the Public Relations committee is the organization's primary recruitment arm. Members of this committee gain valuable skills in public relations, attention to detail, and recruitment strategy as they connect Student Government to the broader student body.

The outreach subcommittee is dedicated to connecting with the campus community. They ensure that students are informed about Student Government's events, resources, and initiatives. This subcommittee is responsible for helping students get involved with the student body.

The Marketing Subcommittee is focused on promoting Student Governments events, accomplishments, and initiatives. Their creative campaigns help increase student awareness and engagement with Student Government.

The IT Subcommittee manages the website. This subcommittee aims to innovate the Student Government's website by developing its aesthetics and functionality.

Coming soon! Student Government is creating it's own podcast. This subcommittee is dedicated to making fun podcasts to promote the student body and spread information. Each episode of the podcast will have unique guests.
